Documentation
adextract is a hosted MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that gives AI agents and assistants live access to public ad libraries. Connect it to Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP client and your agent can search competitor ads across Meta, Google, TikTok, and LinkedIn, then analyze the creative, all from natural-language prompts.
Meta (Facebook & Instagram)
Search the Meta Ad Library across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Threads, and the Audience Network. Tools: search_meta_ads, search_meta_pages, get_meta_page_info, get_meta_ad_details.
Google Ads Transparency Center
Search ad creatives across Google Search, YouTube, Play, Maps, and Shopping via the Ads Transparency Center. Tools: search_google_ads, search_google_ads_advertisers, get_google_ad_details, get_google_ads_advertiser_info.
LinkedIn Ad Library
Search B2B ad creatives in the LinkedIn Ad Library by keyword, advertiser, or country. Tool: search_linkedin_ads.
TikTok Ads Library
Search TikTok ad creatives and advertisers, and pull targeting and audience details. Tools: search_tiktok_ads, search_tiktok_advertisers, get_tiktok_ad_details.
Read any ad
Turn any ad image or video into structured marketing insight with computer vision and LLM analysis. The ad_reader tool returns structured JSON with ad format, creative description, marketing goal, target audience, Plutchik and VAD emotion scores, message archetypes, and industry and brand fields. Pass a direct image or video URL, not a page link like a YouTube watch page.
MCP skills and prompts
The server exposes markdown skill resources under adextract://skill/* plus a catalog at adextract://skills, discoverable via resources/list, resources/read, and prompts/get. Platform research skills cover Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok, each with a matching MCP prompt. Cross-platform prompts handle brand benchmarks, channel strategy, single-creative analysis, and watchlist routines.
FAQ
Do I need an API key or a credit card to start?
New accounts get 50 free credits on signup, no credit card required. You authenticate the hosted server with an API key (or OAuth) generated from your account page. Add a credit pack whenever you're ready to scale.
How is data sourced?
All ad data comes from the official public ad-transparency libraries the platforms publish. adextract normalizes the results into a consistent shape so your agent gets clean, structured JSON regardless of platform.
What does a tool return?
Search tools return a normalized list of ads (advertiser, headline, body, media URLs, dates) plus a next_page_token for pagination. Detail tools return richer per-ad or per-advertiser metadata.
What happens if a request fails?
Failed tool calls are automatically refunded. You are never charged for an error or an empty search. Only successful calls consume a credit.
